Cabo San Lucas

Desert cliffs meeting turquoise water at the very tip of the Baja — a quieter, more polished escape than its party-town reputation lets on.

Why Cabo San Lucas

Los Cabos is really two towns. San José del Cabo — usually just called San José — is the quieter, more grown-up end, with art walks, a colonial town square and calm beaches. Cabo San Lucas is thirty minutes down the coast and considerably livelier. Between them you get beach resorts, local culture, surf, nightclubs, golf, and breathtaking whale and dolphin encounters in season — which is what makes Cabo a place for everyone. Direct flights and a huge range of resorts make it one of the easiest destinations to organise.

What it's built for

  • Seniors and singles who want a polished, easy resort experience with real natural beauty attached
  • A relaxed group trip — golf, spas, and boat tours for whoever wants them, quiet pool days for whoever doesn't
  • Whale-watching season (roughly December–April) for a genuinely once-in-a-while sight
  • Travellers who want fewer logistics and more "just show up and unwind"

When to go

Year-round is workable, but December through April brings whale season and warm, dry days — the exact opposite of winter back home.
